ProofDesk customer terms

Price and license
The existing Windows 0.3.3 license is $29 USD as a one-time purchase, excluding applicable taxes disclosed before payment. The live Windows checkout redirects to the earlier ProofDesk storefront for receipt and download access after confirmed payment. One named user may operate the supplied release on computers they control, for platforms on which verified installers have actually been released. The license is non-transferable and does not authorize resale, redistribution, or access by other users. No ongoing subscription or mandatory cloud account is required.
Updates and support
Purchased releases include updates that are actually published during the first 12 months after purchase and setup/bug support for installation, import, backup, exports and reproducible software faults. Future requested features are not guaranteed and there is no fixed response-time guarantee. Your existing licensed edition can continue to run after the update/support period ends, subject to its license.
30-day refund period
Request a refund at the support address within 30 calendar days of purchase and identify your order. The purchase price is refunded to the original payment method; the license ends on refund. Processor timing varies. This does not restrict applicable statutory consumer rights.
Data and privacy
ProofDesk is local-first. Investigative projects are saved in plaintext on the user's computer, so use appropriate device protections and protect exported backups. Research records are not transmitted by the desktop app to the seller or a hosted AI service. Public demonstrations contain fictional records. Payment providers may process checkout and receipt details separately; applicable payment disclosures must be provided when a verified checkout becomes available.
What the product does not establish
ProofDesk helps organize entered claims, sources, relationships, review decisions, matrices, timelines and reports. It does not independently authenticate documents, verify historical allegations, establish identity or wrongdoing, or provide legal advice. The original specialist spreadsheet formulas and all custom analytical semantics are not reproduced. PDF OCR/full-body indexing, AI, encryption-at-rest and hosted synchronization are not included in the current development release.
Platform compatibility
The currently purchasable edition is the earlier, unsigned Windows 11 x64 version 0.3.3, with Edge/Chrome supported. It is not the expanded 0.5.0 edition. Mac Intel, Mac Apple Silicon, and Linux x64 builds require native launch/packaging acceptance before becoming purchasable. Public macOS distribution additionally requires appropriate Apple signing and notarization.
Installation and safe updates
Download only a package offered for your supported platform. Check its provided SHA-256 digest and preserve a private backup before updating. Existing project files are stored outside the application release directory. The desktop software does not upload customer work to this website.
