The editorial workspace
for reviewed investigations.
Open Publishing Studio is the distinct desktop writing and publication-preparation component of the Follow the Files product family. It carries research into structured drafts while leaving publication decisions with the author or editor.

What the harbor grant records establish
Working title · Local publication project · Illustrative sample
The meeting minutes document authorization to pursue funding. The available accounting extract has not established that the grant was subsequently disbursed.
The remaining question concerns payment records and the time period covered by the available ledger. The conclusion remains qualified pending further documentation.

Preserve the distinction between evidence and copy.
Publishing Studio helps prepare text after a researcher has assessed the underlying evidence. Source records, uncertainty and publication-sensitive information still require independent review.
Draft
Organize findings in a working editorial structure.
Reference
Keep locators available during copy preparation.
Review
Check unresolved claims and sensitive material.

Package approved content for the destination publisher.
Its own product and its own license.
Open Publishing Studio 4.2.1 has an original Windows product and historic standalone licensing. Exact activation, device limits, issuer identity and customer artifact acceptance remain under review. Its historic standalone catalog price was $29.99.
The Windows source archive is not evidence of a current customer-ready signed installer. Publishing Studio is not automatically included in the $29 ProofDesk or $59 Research Edition offer.

- Verified interface
- Document structure, find/replace, notes, revisions and audit controls are present in the existing Studio runtime.
- Exports
- Project JSON and website HTML export, with reader/print/newsletter preparation profiles. A profile named for a CMS does not establish a live CMS integration.
- Versions
- Historical 4.2.1 / PS145 is retained. A newer 4.2.2 Windows successor source and NSIS preparation exist; exact installer, issuer-bound activation and commercial acceptance remain product-specific.
- Pricing and license
- Historical standalone listing: $29.99, separately licensed. No current accepted checkout is offered here. Neither $29 ProofDesk nor $59 Research Edition includes Studio.
- Local and online handling
- The desktop wrapper embeds the editor. Activation/revalidation may require the selected license service; do not assume unlimited offline access. Review exported files and source permissions before publication.
